"126 Ward stands as an ideal haven for students seeking comfortable and convenient accommodation. Its proximity to the university, bus station, and Fortinos make it a prime choice for Mac students. What sets this place apart is not only its strategic location but also the landlord's commitment to ensuring a pleasant living experience. The landlord, known for his kindness and friendliness, promptly addresses any issues that may arise within the house, ensuring that the house remains a welcoming and hassle-free space for students to call home during their academic journey."

"I highly recommend living at 126 Ward. It is in a great area that gives you easy walking access to all sorts of locations, such as the Fortinos and the Thode library. There are also several bussing options near here. You are a 3 minute walk away from both the Main-Leland bus stop and the Emerson-Ward bus stop, which can get you to anywhere you need to go in Hamilton (downtown, University Plaza, campus, etc.). The very fast 1Gb internet access is a huge plus too. Living here has been smooth and easy, thanks to Hubert who is quick to fix any problems that may arise. I will be leaving in May 2023 since I am graduating, but I would have continued to live here if I was staying at Mac."

"I lived in bedroom #2 at 126 Ward Ave from Dec 2020 till Aug 2022. The house location is very convenient as it's only 10 mins walk to the student center in McMaster campus. If you are in a hurry or under harsh weather, there are also bus stations within 5 mins walk. For groceries, there is a Fortinos within 10 mins walk and Food Basic that is one 20 mins bus away. The rent is very affordable as it includes unlimited decent speed Internet, water and hydro, access to two shared fridges at a very competitive rate. The central heating and cooling systems work pretty well in summer and winter, so the house is comfortable in terms of temperature. The landlord Hubert is also very responsive. If anything broke in the house, he would take care of it right away. If you are looking for a basic convenient room with all the basic stuff and support, I would definitely recommend here."

"I enjoyed staying here at 126 Ward Ave . Lived through all the seasons. The place is just a 5 minute walk to McMaster, and offers competitive rental rates. The landlord is very responsive to fixing issues like: leaks in the toilet, Lighting , painting etc...The place is very warm in the winter and cool in summers aswell. Best part is the all inclusive rent, which gives peace of mind. The place comes furnished sometimes upon request and you can also bring your own furniture. The landlord brings in a garbage and snow schedule which states who does these chores when, this helped as well. If there were extra garbage, we got extra garbage stickers. Considering everything, Id give this place 5 stars."

“I lived at 126 Ward Avenue during the 2020-2021 academic year. The house’s location is ideal for McMaster students. It is 5 minutes away from the campus and a short walk to Fortinos and many other amenities students might need. The bus stop is a few minutes away from the house which makes it ideal for students that do not have access to a car. Hubert, the landlord, is very easy to approach and he makes sure that all issues in the house is taken care of properly and as quickly as possible. During my stay, Hubert did not hesitate to replace or fix any equipment that was broken. Overall, a convenient place to stay for the McMaster students.“

"Hubert is a great landlord who actually treats his tenants like people rather than as sources of cash. From the first point of contact when asking for a viewing, Hubert was always very respectful and a great communicator. He even delayed the viewing appointment to ensure the current tenants had prior notice before my group came to view the house. He takes requests seriously and is very prompt with repairs, he even brought a table to the house upon our request. Hubert takes the stress out of student housing and allows you to focus on other things, I would definitely recommend 126 Ward to other students."

“Hubert is a very responsive landlord. He acts really fast when there is a problem in the house (i.e. slow internet, broken stove, etc.) and either fixes it or replaces anything necessary to solve the issue. He is very kind person and is one of the best landlord’s to have especially as a student or busy individual. He allows the stress of housing to be non-existent so you can properly focus on your studies or job without any hassles. I would definitely recommend 126 Ward to any student.”

"I moved into 126 Ward in fall of 2015. The location is walking distance to both campus and Fortinos, as well as a cluster of restaurants and bus routes, which is convenient for commuting. The landlord has also been very friendly, and quick to respond to any concerns we’ve had at the house. 126 Ward itself is a homey place that I’ve enjoyed my stay at, with a reasonable price and so many upsides, and would definitely recommend considering!"

"I stayed at 126 Ward Avenue during the 2014/2015 school year. I found the house to be conveniently located close to both McMaster University and grocery stores. My stay was extremely comfortable and reasonably priced. Hubert (the landlord) was always friendly and took care of any issues right away. There was never a time where there was an issue that wasn't resolved in less than 24 hours. Overall, I think anyone looking for a convenient and comfortable student house would benefit from living at 126 Ward Avenue. "

My stay at 126 Ward Ave was during the 2013-14 school year. Overall, it has been a very good experience. The house is literally a 5 minute walk to campus, and everything from restaurants to grocery stores are quite accessible. The landlord (Hubert) is extremely friendly and exceeded my expectations. He is easy to get in contact with, and will solve any problems with the house within a day's notice. It is difficult to find a landlord who is so caring about his tenants and the house. I highly recommend 126 Ward Ave for any future tenants to come.

"I lived at 126 Ward Avenue during the 2013/2014 academic year. The house is in a prime location: 5 minutes away from the school and a very short walk to the grocery store and many of the most popular restaurants and bars. The landlord, Hubert, is very dedicated to ensuring that all problems and issues are taken care of in a timely manner, sometimes even within hours of emailing him. It is hard to find a great located house and great landlord in Hamilton, so I recommend this house to anyone looking."

"I lived at 126 Ward from Sept 2012 - April 2013 and I would definitely recommend it. The location is great - really close to Fortinos, campus and the rail trail (for jogging, biking, etc.). The rooms come fully furnished which is a huge help because you don't have to buy your own furniture and then deal with moving it. Hubert, the landlord, is also super friendly, always available and always looking to make the house better. He lives really close to the house and always came by if we ever needed anything."

"
I lived at 126 Ward during the 2011-2012 academic year. Staying at this house was a pleasure since it was a great study environment with minimal distractions. The location was close to campus, especially close for me since most of my classes were on the south side. In addition, the grocery store was just several minutes away by walking on the trail. The landlord, Hubert, was always attentive to any concerns the tenants had, and any issues were resolved quickly. It's difficult to find a landlord who cares about the house and tenants as much as Hubert."
